Best model car display case cabinets!
Hot Wheels / Matchbox / 1/64 scale Diecast Display Case Cabinet
I got my first wooden display case for my Hot Wheels and Matchbox Cars when I was about 11 yrs old or so. But I didn’t purchase it, I built it! With the help of my dad of course! But it was something I always enjoyed, almost as much as my collection of model cars. I know everyone has their own way of displaying their prized collection, but I thought I would share a few sources for obtaining your own wooden model car display cabinets to showcase your 1:64, 1:43, 1:24, 1:18 scale cars.
Personally I like the cases that do not leave the car exposed to dust, so that is why a cabinet style case is preferred over a simple shelf type case. There are many sites that sell these. The sample cabinet shown on the upper left of this article can be found on amazon, and meant to display about 60 of your 1:64 scale cars. And currently at a decent price of $79. You can find it here Hot Wheels / Matchbox / 1/64 scale Diecast Display Case Cabinet.
Another site that seems to have a great selection of styles is Super Displays, in fact one thing I really enjoy about their options is the ability to do custom work! They will work with you to design the perfect cabinet to meet your needs. I really like this because I for one tend to have more 1:43 and 1:18 scale cars and prefer to have the nicer wood work for my cabinets to match my office. Super Displays seems like a place I will have to consider when purchasing my next cabinet! And for you Nascar model car collectors, they have a wide choice of cabinets that fit your style.
Finally, don’t forget to look at sellers on eBay, I do and this particular seller by the name of fdmbdesign has some awesome cabinets. One special feature their cabinets include are lights! That’s right, they’ll illuminate your prized car or cars, depending on the size of cabinet.
I hope these sources will help you better decide which cabinet is right for your collection. And if you find yourself to be a little adventurous, why not try building your own custom cabinet!
